As good as any coffee I've had from a high street coffee shop

You might be thinking, like I was, “how are these any different / better than instant jar coffee?” I was especially unconvinced with the price tag of £4.95 for ten bags.In a nutshell, jar coffee has been brewed in the factory and freeze dried and when you put hot water in it, you are rehydrating cooked coffee. These coffee brew bags contain real, freshly ground coffee beans so when you add hot water this becomes a freshly brewed coffee. So, if you have an expensive coffee shop habit that you need to break where you are spending maybe £4 per day but you don’t have time to brew a coffee at home before you leave for work, and instant coffee granules doesn’t hit the spot, straightaway you can see how much money you will save as these now become £0.49p for a coffee for almost zero effort. It all boils down (no pun intended) to whether you like the taste and this will also be a personal preference. The intensity depends on how much water and milk you add, obviously the less you add the stronger it will be. I prefer a milky coffee so added loads to it, whereas my husband likes his a bit (well, a lot) stronger and that is the beauty of this that you can tailor it to your own tastes. You do have to leave the bag in the cup for three minutes before giving it a squeeze and removing it but if you’re rushing in a morning you can always brush your teeth or pack your work bag while you’re waiting. All in all, this makes a good, quick coffee and although I am not a regular drinker in a coffee shop (due to the cost) it certainly tastes as nice and drinkable as any I have ever had from one.

Great coffee at a good price

Love Roar Gill Bold Coffee. I buy both ground and bags. Great depth and flavour. Good customer service as well.

Great coffee with hardly any effort

I’ve just finished the whole pack, and I genuinely enjoyed every cup. These brew bags are so convenient when you want a proper coffee without getting out a cafetière or coffee machine. Just add hot water, leave it to brew for a few minutes, and it’s ready. The coffee has a lovely aroma and a smooth, rich flavour without tasting bitter. It feels much closer to freshly brewed coffee than instant, which was a nice surprise. They’re also really handy to take to work or when travelling, as there’s no mess to deal with afterwards.Overall, I’ve been really impressed with both the taste and the convenience. I’d happily buy these again, and I think they’re good value for money for the quality of coffee you get.

Rich, smooth coffeehouse flavor with zero mess

These Roar Gill coffee brew bags provide a brilliant, fuss-free shortcut to a proper morning brew. Acting just like a teabag but packed with high-quality ground coffee, they completely eliminate the need for a cafetière or machine, making them incredibly convenient for busy workdays or camping trips. The Bold Blend combination of Brazilian, El Salvadoran, and Colombian beans delivers a genuinely premium profile. It sits perfectly as a medium-dark roast, hitting you with rich, comforting notes of dark chocolate and treacle, rounded out by a subtle hint of vanilla. There is absolutely none of the sharp bitterness or acidity found in typical instant options.Because each of the 10 bags is individually wrapped, the grounds stay perfectly fresh until the moment you brew. Following the guidance to stick to around 200ml of water yields a beautifully full-bodied, satisfying cup that pairs wonderfully with a splash of milk. For anyone wanting real coffee without the clean-up, this pack is a top-tier choice.

Decent enough

Roar Gill Speciality Coffee Brew Bags (10 Bag Pack) - Bold Blend Ground Coffee Bags, Individually Wrapped, Single Serve - Medium Dark Roast, Dark Chocolate, Treacle & Vanilla NotesI've not come across this brand before but I was pleasantly surprised, I really liked the branding for one but most important is the coffee quality / flavour. I really like these for the portability, ground coffee is never as good and this gives you high quality, strong coffee that's much easier to carry around. I wouldn't say they're exceptional but I liked them enough to keep drinking them even though I'm a bit of a coffee snob. 10 bags for c.£5 is decent value for money but not the cheapest.
