Vietnamese Iced Coffee Using Compostable Coffee Pods

You don't always need a 'phin' or ground filter to hand, in order to grab the essence of this Vietnamese classic. Here's how to try a version with our compostable coffee pods this summer...

Vietnamese iced coffee, also known as cà phê đá, is a traditional Vietnamese coffee.

Traditionally brewed in a phin, a small metal cup that fits over a mug, which slowly drip filters into the cup before mixing in with sweetened condensed milk.

We don't think you always need a phin or ground filter to hand, in order to grab the essence of this Vietnamese classic. Here's how to try a version with our compostable coffee pods this summer:

What You'll Need

- 1 Rare Roar Gill Coffee Pod

- 2 x ice cubes (2x30g)
- 10g of sweetened condensed milk

How to Brew

- Pour 10g of sweetened condensed milk in a large espresso or lungo glass
- Pour the rare coffee using a nespresso compatible original machine. Keep the pour height small at around espresso, 40ml.
- Add the ice cubes
- Stir well
